The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Here we are again with the Lux series except this time it’s all about Luc and his story! We meet Evie Dasher who we learn is more than she seems and has showed up in Katy and Daemon’s books. I loved the tension between Evie and Luc because he’s so “all-knowing”, cocky, and i have no weakness while she is the same except has the teenage “what do I do with my life”. There chemistry is undeniable and Evie’s past is unknown until later which is shocking to say the least. But expected.

In typical JLA fashion it’s cheesy but that’s why it’s so enjoyable. It makes it so easy to read and will have you swoon and stress at the right parts of the story. I do find this book and frankly the series lacking from other series Jennifer has done but it doesn’t mean it’s not a great adventure to read through. If you like cocky men and strong willed women you may as well read. Just beware because once you start reading Armentrout’s books you’ll read any and everything she writes.
